Barry, Why Are You Yelling At Everyone Who Did Not Shoot Up That Campus?

So the pentulent punk is stomping his foot again and threatening to issue executive orders. The pencilneck keeps forgetting that he can only order his staff around, you'd think a "constitutional scholar"would know that if he wanted to make law he should have stayed in the legislative branch. Of course he did nothing there, did he? Useless ass.

Seriously, if these idiots wanted to stop these spree shootings they'd end the gun free zones. There has been two mass shootings that's happened since the 1950s, The Tucson one where the Federal Judge was murdered and Gabby Whatshername wounded and that one in Austin where the guy with the brain tumor went up in the tower and started blasting. That's a gun free zone now, in the very early 1970s I worked on a shotgun in the shop on campus there. That was before academea lost it's collective mind.

Anyway, President Stompyfoot is wanting to issue orders to the people of the United States, forgetting who he is and who we are. Barry, try to remember where you live. You are not in Indonesia anymore. You don't give us orders, you would not like our answer.

You and your pals like to talk about the murder rate in the USA forgetting that the murder rate among us legal firearms owners is as low as anywhere in the world, lower than most countries. , there is one cohort in the country skewing the numbers but I cannot name it for fear of being named a racist. Funny, though, it's the same crowd screeching black lives matter.

Our guns didn't shoot those kids.  Barry, you are a dumbass. Love, Peter.

Dear Barry, Yet Again

Barry, I know I haven't written you lately although I'm pretty sure the NSA keeps you updated on what we in flyover country are up too, but there are a couple of things that seem to have slipped your mind. I know you are busy, what with golf and multimillion dollar vacations so let me remind you of a few things.

You still claim to be a constitutional scholar so first let me remind you that all spending bills must originate in the House. I'm pretty sure this means that if the House decides not to fund something, that's it. No matter what law has been passed in the past, if the House votes not to fund, that law is dead.

In the proudest moment since the Democrat Party formed the Klu Klux Klan in the aftermath of the War Between The States The Democrat House voted to deny funding to the US Government to supply ammunition and naval and air power to the Republic of Viet Nam. (And who in spell check world decided that the old two word name would become one word ?) Remember that, Barry? That wasn't just "the law of the land". that was a ratified treaty. And yet, your team shut that down. So, shut up and do your job.

Further, Barry, those open air monuments are not yours. They are ours. You don't get to run us off our own property. And now you're trying to close the ocean down in Florida. What's next, hold your breatth until you turn blue? Barry, stop acting like a two year old, it's not becoming.

Last Barry, stop lying so much. That must have been a powerful strong lightening rod over there when you claimed to have bent over backwards to work with Republicans. Barry, I hate to tell you this but you'll go to Hell for lying just the same as if you were stealing chickens.

Barry, you are not a kid anymore. You don't really have to be a douchecanoe your whole life.

Oh, and Barry, think what will happen to your pension if you keep jerking us around.

Dear Ralph:

Ralph, I know we don't talk much, you being busy in Congress and all but here is something I don't understand, maybe you can help me here. It's been a long time since Civics class in high school but I seem to remember that the Federal Government can't spend a nickle without that nickle coming through the House of Representatives.

Yet here we have the Justice(?) Department spying on reporters and we still haven't got to the bottom of the Justice(?) Dept. running guns to drug cartels. We have the IRS treating right of center citizens differently than leftists and, worse, foreign relations of Obama. And we have Obama promoting the woman who lied on national TV about Benghazi.

Congressman Hall, pardon me for being a" pore dumb redneck" but with all this going on why does the Justice Department and the IRS and the White House still get oceans of taxpayer money? I understand that certain factions of the government hate us but can't we make them hate us with their own money?

I know there are parts of the IRS and Justice Department that are essential to the country. I'm pretty sure, though, that if we cut the budgets of the White House by some eighty percent and the Justice Department and IRS by a hundred percent until they straightened out this problem of Obama and company thumbing their noses at Congress and, by extension, the citizens of the United States of America, would stop and quickly.

Ralph, we haven't much time to save the country, it's way past time for you folks in the House to step up.

Dear Government

Well, we had another State of the Union speech tonight, too bad you idiots cannot seem to grasp that there is no way we can keep spending our grandchildren's money. They haven't earned it yet and the debt you are piling on them will keep them from earning it. Oh, and while I'm on the subject of kids and money, you clowns have seen to it that today's college graduates are saddled with so much student loan debt that they cannot work at starting wages.  Do you clowns really think you can live your opulent lifestyles if there is no money? Are you really all that stupid?

I see that you are still on this "reasonable gun control" kick. Government, you still have yet to explain why it took so long to get to that school in Sandy Hook. If your people are going to fart around so long before going into a school filled with six year old children while some nutcase is shooting them, why should we listen to you?

Oh, and it seems that this Chris Dorner fellow might be dead in a burned out cabin up in the hills. You government types are claiming that "only the police and military should be equipped with magazines holding more than X number of rounds." Then you hire a nutbag for a cop. He, allegedly, goes on a killing spree after he fails to complete his probationary period. Okay, mistakes happen.

You hired the wrong guy. It happens and not just in police work. Heck, we have entire government agencies filled with the wrong guys. It happens in private industry, too. And, you did the right thing, you got rid of that wrong guy. It's really rare that the let go guy turns on you, so that's not your fault either. So, let's talk about what is your fault.

You do not get to have panicky jerks lighting up and wounding two small Hispanic women in the wrong kind of truck when you are looking for one very large African American man. Sorry, that is beyond the pale. Further, you do not get to leave these panicky jerks out in public. What, exactly, would happen to a non police person shooting up two strangers who are not charged with any crime? I do not know about La La Land but out here in Resume Speed, Texas, said panicky jerk would be locked up while the DA's office would be arguing over Ag Assault with a deadly weapon and Attempted Murder. Yet I have read nothing about criminal charges.

And I have read of yet another truck shot up, this time with no injuries, praise the Lord and no thanks to you government types. Again, no criminal charges. You don't get to do that. Police do not get to shoot up cars and people that only vaguely resemble bad guys, it breaks the contract between citizens and government.

There is a lot of that going on. And it needs to stop. Our system relies on "the consent of the governed". The last big survey, before your panicky jerks started shooting up people that in no way resembled Chris Dorner, said that some 53% of citizens thought government was endangering their liberty. Wonder what that number is like now?

Meanwhile, please don't tell us that "only the police and military should have these weapons." Y'all sure don't seem to be able to prove it.

Ammunition

There are a lot of news stories about the bazillions of firearms being sold these days and how dealers have hardly any "military looking" rifles left in stock. No one seems to be mentioning ammo.

I, of course, have no firearms left after that tragic canoe wreck I had but I still have some suppliers in my "bookmarks". I had a bad case of can't sleep the other night and so after I read all the blog posts I cared to and after I got tired of www.nakedchubbygirls.org I looked in on my ammo and components suppliers. Folks, there ain't none.

Go to www.midwayUSA.com and find bare shelves. For instance every single box of .22lr hollowpoint ammo is marked "out of stock, no backorder.  Most of the popular handgun cartridges are gone, and just TRY to find some .223, .308 or 7.62x39.

Shotgun ammo? There are only two, out of thirty-five choices of 12 gauge two and three quarter inch buckshot loads available and I don't reckon they'll be available for long. So if you want some  call yesterday. Of course the Winchester copper plated double ought buck is kind of pricey and the other load, a low recoil buckshot load is in an eighty round box. I've seen a few gunfights and read of many more, I've never heard of one using up eighty rounds of shotgun ammo.

I'm kind of curious. With all these folks buying rifles, pistols, shotguns and ammo, just how many of 'em are going to carry their shootin' irons down to the local commissar when the "sensible gun regulation" becomes a total ban? And, just whom will the politicos choose to go door to door to arrest these millions of new criminals?

Nanny Bloomberg and Swishy Rham (NTTAWWT) know where the gangs are. They have a pretty fair idea of who they are. They certainly don't care much about the various Constitutional Amendments about search and seizure and right to property so why haven't they send their city police out to round them up? Heck, by the time the arrests and confiscation worked their way through the court system most of the gangbangers would be past the most dangerous age and the guns would have been melted down to make Chevy Volts and bird killing windmills. So, why don't they go after the illegal guns?

The answer is simple, they'd lose a lot of their police officers. And the rest would decide on a different line of work. So, instead of going after the criminals they are going after millions of law abiding citizens and thousands of law abiding businesses. So, what about the millions of brand new criminals? That is what we'll have if DiFi gets her way. And exactly what percentage of these brand new criminals will shoot?

You smart people in media and politics should consider that question very carefully. A lot depends on it.

Dear Andrew

So I look in The Puppyblender's site  and notice that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo finally admits out loud that gun confiscation "could be the answer".  Well, it's like this, Andy: When those bodyguards of yours give up all their guns, my kids will give up theirs. Oh, you say, "I'm a public figure, I need protection." Foo, far more ordinary people are murdered every day than cheap politicos. You, Andy, are no more important than my daughter.

I've noticed, Andy, that all you politicians and important (to whom?) actors have bodyguards. The New York Time, thundering about "high capacity ammunition" (idiots) has armed guards at the door. I'll tell you who doesn't have a taxpayer funded armed guard, Andy: my wife. She's on a walker, far more helpless than you, or would Be if you didn't have those guys with evil semiautomatic pistols and "assault rifles" handy. Oh, I forgot. Your bodyguards are active duty cops, they have access to real assault rifles, don't they?

Here's the deal, Andy. This is not some stinkin' foreign place with royalty. My people came to get away from them. You, Andy, and all your lefty pals, are no more important than my grandchildren. Since neither the taxpayers or big media pays anyone to hang around with guns, just to protect them in the odd chance that a nut will  show up, like you and your pals, we have guns.

Andy, we'll give our guns, right after you set the example. Until you do, we'll keep wandering through life, protecting our owns best we can.

Dear "Julia"

"Julia" the only thing I owe you is common courtesy. You are neither my daughter nor my friend. I am not responsible for your life, nor did I marry your mother and take you for a stepdaughter.

I am somewhat sorry for you, you have been born with a massive debt. You will be shoved into government programs your whole life under the unending Obama regime. What Obama doesn't tell you. "Julia", is that each government program will cost you your freedom, cost you your money and will actually make your life worse. The Headstart Program is nothing more than very expensive daycare and recent studies have shown that the $22,000 dollars per year Headstart will leave you less prepared for school than the eight or nine thousand dollar per year day care.

The government schools? They will cost far more than private schools and the teachers will be far less capable. Since the Department of Education came up the K-12 schools have become the training ground for losers. There will be a few good teachers among the scads of drones and administrators. The administrators will be doing their best to grind the good teachers down. If you are very lucky you will know how to read at what was once an eighth grade grade level. You will know all about putting a condom on a cucumber, though. I reckon that's something.

Funny, though. When I was in school we learned how to put on condoms on our own time, at no cost to the government.

You will now be ready for "college". A BA degree will give you almost as much knowledge as a thirteen year old eighth grade graduate of the Teddy Roosevelt era. Please, Julia, do not major in any of the Angry Studies programs. "Julia" Womyn's Studies will not teach you how to be a woman, only in how to be angry that you are. I started my brief college career when the big fight over the first Angry Studies program was going on. It was Black Studies. I got in trouble, although nothing like I would today, for asking how long this feller would have to study to be black. I then got further marginalized for asking how much someone would pay him to be black with that degree. And would it be more than a black guy with only a high school diploma heavy in shop classes. I got into the last bit of trouble commenting that I served with a lot of black guys in the Service and none of them had gone to collage to learn how to be black yet they were doing just fine at being black. I sat alone at the Student Union cafeteria a lot.

Welcome to adulthood, "Julia". Good luck in finding a job. A simple fact of life that no one will tell you is that every single government program take money out of the economy that would be used to create jobs. The evil rich do not stuff their money under the mattress, nor is it change between their couch cushions. The rich have bank accounts. Those banks then lend that money to folks starting businesses and buying homes. People work for those businesses and build those homes. The rich buy stock. That stock builds more businesses. The rich pay taxes. Now some of that money taken in taxes provides essential services. Fire Departments and Police Departments, for two. Although police are overburdened with "crimes" that are such only because some politician likes to feel important.

Anyhow. "Julia" you should be totally on your own now. Too bad you're a helpless ward of the state. Enjoy your life. In the unending Obama Regime that has mapped out your life you will now spend well over forty years working at a government provided job. Now matter how well you work or how well you learn you will never make a dime more than that lout over there who came to work late and half drunk. Sorry "Julia", that's the rules. You will never own your home, "Julia". The Regime only allows it's crony capitalist friends to own home. You will live in a small apartment in a large complex that smells of dirty diapers and boiled cabbage. You will not have a car. You will ride the bus and the subway where feral youths have free reign to mug, assault, rape and murder. Good luck. If you dare arm yourself and actually fight off one of these groups you will be a vigilante, savaged in the press. If you don't fight them off you will be a victim.

Welcome to Obama's America. Good luck.

Dear Mitt

 Dear Mitt:

You are not going to be President. It's not your religion. It's your policies and your track record. I know that you are an establishment Republican and that you and the rest of the establishment Republicans believe it's your turn. Trouble is, Mitt, the voters do not believe in the "your turn" system. In 1976 the establishment Republicans thought it was Jerry Ford's turn. We got Carter. In '80 that upstart Reagan turn over your applecart and spoiled George H. W. Bush's turn, although he slipped in over a very weak Donk, Dukakis. Dukakis did, however, prevent a possible President Biden. Still, GHWB is the only Republican President of my lifetime to win a term because it was "his turn. In 1960 Nixon lost. His political future was declared dead after losing the governor's race in California in '62.

Mitt, you will probably win the nomination. You have a long time staff and tons of money. This counts in the early primaries. Also the Donks have no viable opposition to Obama getting the nomination so they will be voting for you in our primaries because they know they will beat you in the general election.

Here is why they know they will beat you, Mitt. The ordinary Republican voter doesn't like you. We don't like Romneycare, we don't like the fact that your aides went to Washington to confer with the developers of Obamacare. We don't like the way your positions change with the audience.

Mitt, the ordinary Republican voter will vote for you in the General, once you win the nomination. The ordinary Republican voter will not man phone banks for you. We will not go knock on doors. There won't be as many yard signs. Few of us will be driving voters to the polls.

Mitt, you are the only reason Obama can win another term. You have the MSM on your side now while they slander the other candidates. You think they are your friends. So did McCain, the last Republican whose turn it was. Mitt, you only think you are seeing vitriol against your opposition in the primary season. It's nothing like you will see in the general. Go home, Mitt. The base simply will not put out the work we will need to unseat this disaster of a President. Maybe it's not fair, Mitt. Unfortunately "your turn" won't work.

Dear Sarah

Okay, Sarah Palin had her big speech. She  wowed the crowd. Her supporters are all over the Intertoobz with how rousing the speech was. Undecided conservatives, not so much. Trouble with the speech is that there was nothing, again, about her plans for the 2012 election cycle and it's getting past time she decides and declares.

I am a Sarah Palin fan, I think she did a fine job up in Alaska and if not for that strange quirk in Alaskan political law where anyone could file an ethics complaint and the Governor had to fight it on her own dime, with no help from a legal defense fund and no penalty for filing a frivolous complaint.. In any other state she would have been able to finish a term. I really love the way a bitter minority of lefty Dems came close to bankrupting her family and then got to sneer "quitter" at her.

Having said I'm a Palin fan, more important, I'm an American and, I'd like to think I'm a patriot. We have an administration that through incompetence  or malice is destroying the country. Or perhaps I should say incompetence AND malice, seein' as how they can't even manage to promote a gun smuggling scam.without getting caught, The Democrats keep waving Nixon and Watergate at us, um, how many Mexicans and how many Border Patrolmen were killed during Watergate? Too bad we don't have a free press in this country.

Anyhow, Sarah, the leader of this bunch of yahoos claims to already have ONE BILLION DOLLARS so that he can keep using Air Force One for his vacations. I do not think we'll be able to match that money. For all the talk about rich Republicans the big money people sure tend Democrat. Democrats love poor people, that's why their policies make so many. I digress, again. Anyhow, if we cannot match the Donks dollar for dollar we must do it with people.. And that's where you come in, Sarah. You've tens of thousands of loyal, articulate and committed supporters. I do believe that the Obamanauts will be tepid in their efforts, everything Obama promised to end, hasn't. Everything he's promised to fix has gotten worse. I am also convinced that the Arab Spring will blow up on him by the election.

Sarah, we need those supporters of yours working in campaigns, now. If not in your campaign, in Perry's or Cain or SOMEBODY! Decide, Sarah. Either run or endorse. Or beg your supporters to sign on to congressional, Senate and state races for now and give us a date for a presidential decision.

Sarah, you did a lot of good in a short time in Alaska. Until you were tapped by McCain for the Veep spot you were popular with everyone up there for redoing that big pipeline deal. You went after crooked Republicans as well as Donks, it's like you never were a part of the old boy network. Of course I figured that part out as soon as I first saw your picture. (I'm old, I ain't dead) While I'd love to see a Palin presidency and a Palin Justice Department going after all of those hogs that were first piglets when they got up to the public trough, I can understand if you don't wish to go through the wringer. And I won't blame you for wanting to spare your family.

You, Sarah, I'm not afraid of. I believe that if you got into the race and found you were too far behind to win the nomination, you'd send your supporters toward the most conservative and patriotic Republican.. I further believe you would lead the mighty Palin Legion toward the 2012 election with the same spirit and joy you've shown since you burst on the national scene.  Sarah, we need that legion working now. If McCain hadn't bellyflopped in the late stages of the campaign you'd be ready to run for the Presidency from a nice Veep spot.. And I think you'd tie those jug ears in a knot if you had to debate him in '12.

 Please. Sarah, run or endorse.

So, Now I'm A Terrorist? Oookay. What Happens Next?

So, according to the establishment left we are now terrorists, hostage takers and are holding guns to America's head. We gathered, first in tens and hundreds, then in thousands and tens of thousands, finally in that huge rally in Washington, DC. Funny, each time there was something first noticed by the right, at that "Dan's Bake Sale", where Rush Limbaugh and some 65,000 fans showed up in Fort Collins, Colorado. The crowd left the grounds cleaner than they found them.

This is the right. When we go somewhere we drop our trash in the barrels. If we see something loose we pick it up and throw it away. Funny thing, you can tell, with perhaps eighty percent efficiency , conservative people from lefties at a highway rest stop. The conservatives will be the ones emptying a trash container into the barrels. But, I digress.

Does anyone remember Nancy Pelosi leading that bunch of lefty Congresscritters right through the crowd of thousands pleading that our health care system, the best in the world, to not me smashed into bureaucrat's fiefdoms? Sure, we remember. The left screeching about how we were yelling NI**ER at the congresscritters, some of whom were holding video cameras and then state of the art cell phone cameras up. Think hard, Breitbart has offered a pretty fair sum of money to anyone with video proof, so far no takers.

That, of course, was merely business as usual in Washington. More business as usual is that jug eared, empty headed narrow-assed clown in the White House whining that all the nation's economic problems are because of George W. Bush. Too bad we don't have a news media. I would love someone asking this bunch of fools to tell us the exact unemployment rate in November, 2006. Funny how in the last period of Republican "rule" unemployment was 4.6 percent and wages up 3.9 percent. We're coming up on six years of Democrat rule, now, although we have wrested one half of Congress away from the Pelosi-Reid gang of thieves. So, now we have the Vice President of the United States of America, agreeing with a United States Congressman that we acted like terrorists.

A deal which does not stop the ship of state from taking on water but merely slows the leak a tiny bit is not a tragedy for the government. The tragedy for the government is that you idiot professional politicians simply find yourselves unable to stop spending money you do not have and cannot get. Representative Cleaver, the debt deal IS a "Satan Sandwich". It is such because it , along with other of your programs, keeps your people mired in poverty.

National wealth has plummeted since the Pelosi-Reid Congress and the Obama Presidency. Funny, though, the wealth of minority America has plummeted even more. And yet, you call us racist? Mr. Vice President, Representative Cleaver, Mr. President, I have to ask you all, why is it, if WE the conservatives hate the poor so much and are so racist, why is it that the worst sections of the entire country are all Democrat strongholds? Well, up until you took over, now entire sections of the country are dying. Thanks a lot.

How long, Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, Congressmen Doyle and Cleaver (and a whole host of others) before you figure out that it is your policies that are killing the last, best hope of mankind. Or do you realize that you are killing the country. If so, why? Who gains?

I'm just a small town boy grown old. I know the world has changed and will continue to change. What I cannot understand is why you continue to insult and denigrate the ever decreasing number of people who pay your salaries. There are still hundreds of ways for poor people to become if not rich, at least middle class. Yet your bunch goes out and closes children's lemonade stands when you don't want to put whole states like Texas in the dark. Who gains and who loses, then, Mr. President? The middle class who will tighten their belts a little more to pay the higher power bills or the poor, who you claim to care so much about?

Se, my question remains. Are you wrecking the country, and the futures of those you claim to care so much about, by accident? If so, how long before you notice that everything you do makes things worse? Or are you wrecking the country on purpose> If so, do you really expect us to let you do so? Really? You ain't seen terrorists yet.

Dear Barry

Hello, Barry, it's been a while since we last "spoke". I hope you and your family had a happy Independence Day. I 0nly wish that you understood and believed in that independence. You see, Barry, we didn't simply declare independence from Great Britain. We also believed in our independence as individuals.

Barry, I am not sure you really understand Americans. You seem to have lived an almost cloistered life here, never working among ordinary Americans but only in little enclaves where guys like "Joe the Plumber" or me, for that matter, are not friends and neighbors but odd specimens .

Barry, Chicago, Harvard and Columbia U are in the United States, they are not the United States. Barry, I wish you had gone through small town and country America as a youth. Perhaps if you had spent just one fall and winter working in an Arizona cotton gin you would have seen white, black and brown working together and playing some in their time off. You see, Barry, in much of America it is not black vs white vs brown. In our America, Barry, we only think of black or white when we talk about those two guys named Steve. Then, to tell 'em apart it's black Steve or white Steve. Although in our America it might well be electrician Steve and schoolteacher Steve.

Our America is a pretty nice place, Barry. It's too bad that when you come through our America, like when you dropped into Joplin after the tornado, you were too busy holding your chin up, just so, that you didn't notice the people. Those are good people, Barry, as good as you. Most of them know how to do things that you never had to learn. Of course they were already a community so an organizer wasn't any use to them.

Barry, the next time you are flying hither and yon to fundraisers, do us a favor. Look out the window of that great big, taxpayer funded jet and notice how damned big this country is. Notice, please, how far apart we live. And then, the next time Joe Biden starts babbling about high speed rail, slap him. America needs rail, Barry, and we need to spend some money on it. I suspect that private money would do better than public money but we can argue about that later. The rail we need is for freight, Barry. A couple of locomotives takes a lot of trucks off the highways which would be good for the environment. Or, at least cut down on traffic.

Passenger rail? Barry we are not Europeans. Rail only works for a few of us, unlike Europe where so many people live on top of each other. Rail works fine in the east, maybe. It works for Joe Biden because he works on a predictable schedule and, to tell the truth, nobody has really given a damn if Joe shows up for work or not. And nobody really has for a few decades now. The rest of us are spread out. We also have work schedules that are unpredictable. I've probably worked thousands of "extra" hours over the years, phone calls of "can you come in a couple hours early, Joe hurt himself" and Peter, can you stay over awhile and finish this today? Yeah, Barry, that high speed rail will work fine, if you really want to kill the country.

Well, I'm a little busy, Barry, no time for golf. I do hope that you remember, later, that you, yourself injected your daughters into the political process. I'm pretty sure that my side will treat your daughters better than your side has treated the Palin children. Still, no matter what, it was you, Barry, that brought them into the game. Please do not go around crying tears the size of horse turds if someone mentions them. Oh, and Barrry, tell Michelle to raise her daughters and leave our kids alone. Americans have been raising children for a while now, dozens of generations, without Michelle's help.

Bye, now, Peter

Just Thinkin'

So now the Feds think that the Unabomber, who probably started wanting to kill people because he always had to spell his name five times to people, might be the Tylenol poisoner. Seein' as how he's locked up can we go back to packaging that does not require a knife and pliers to get to the effin' product? Or are they just tryin' to clear the case? I hate to believe that but with the history of the FBI Labs being a mess, and various "scientist expert witnesses" being as crooked as that Lombardy Street in San Francisco, I just don't know. I do not understand DNA. I read a lot, I follow Instapundit and Althouse, in addition to a life experience so I can confidently say no jury will ever understand DNA. If a potential juror actual education and experience to understand DNA, one or the other sterling advocates of justice trying the case would use one of the peremptory challenges to get rid of her.

I don't know what to do about this. We have too many cases on record of these people and these outfits being biased away from the truth, for power, for a twisted sense of "justice", to put away "undesirables", for money from a wealthy defendant, or that matter in civil cases, plaintiff or plaintiff's lawyer.

I can understand a case of "we caught the guy at the scene with the victims all over, the chainsaw still in his hand, he was covered in blood...". Anything more scientifical than that is beyond me. And I'm supposed to sit on a jury.

So I was driving along today, after my first bout with the new physical terrorists and Hannity had Carville on, letting Carville talk. So, Carville thinks that after some primaries Romney will be the guy to go against Obama. I really hope he's wrong. I really dislike Carville, he has a voice made for roadside billboards and a face made for radio, as well as political ideas that will kill millions. Still, he knows ground politics and he's hoping the Washington Republicans do it to us again.

Romney as the nominee will guarantee that both the Tea Party types and the Evangelicals will either sit the election out or bolt to a third party. Bottom line, Romney means we lose, again. It may well mean that the big money guys on the coasts will be sitting around with a big headquarters and no voters. The Republicans are in real danger of going the way of the Whigs.

Dear big money guys: Please anoint someone that the voters will support. We've had decades of "it's his turn". It gave us Jimmy Carter. And then it gave us Bill Clinton. George H. W. Bush is a good man, a very good man. He was only elected the first time because the Donks ran a dork named Dukakis. Actually the only reason Bush won in '88 was that picture of the dork in the tank. Without that there would have been no opposition to the Iraq invasion of Kuwait and no fall of the Berlin Wall.

Then the "it's his turn crowd gave us Bob Dole, another good guy who would, or could never win a national election. Starting to get the picture, big money guys? Let me build on it to make sure. McCain. Now Romney isn't anything like McCain except that he is pure poison to the people that work the phone banks and walk the precincts. Now you big money guys think that since it's Obama you can win without those awful Tea Party types and those smelly Evangelicals. Please, please, l00k back on recent history. The Democrat base hates us and fears us. They will go all out, no matter who their nominee is. Sorry, our side's base has some standards. I can see you guys being willing to lose the odd, unimportant election here or there. Losing the country is a different matter. We are almost out of time for us to remain a constitutional republic. In my darker moments I think it's already too late. Sigh.

In a more immediate note I was fixing my navy bean soup and, as I was frying the quarter box of Wrights Bacon Ends and Pieces a thought crossed my mind...With all the laws being passed, do you think we could make it a felony to use the words "too much" and "bacon" in the same sentence?

Navy bean soup is probably the best thing ever to come out of the galley of a ship. I was slicing up the little bit of carrot and celery and getting ready for the humongous onion I was putting in when I started wondering about the sweet onion craze. Dear Georgia, I know you're proud of your sweet Vidalia onions, I even like them sometimes. Can you, please, though, make it a little easier to find the old fashioned onions for cooking? I go to the supermarket and it's sweet Vidalia over there, Texas sweet over here, damn it! I'm cooking soup and stew and (when I have a few buck) pot roast! I'll let you know when I want to make candy.

Anyhow, the soup is in the crockpot, and it'll be ready by Friday evening. Patsy, our neighbor is making cornbread from scratch and we should do some serious eating. Desert is apple pie. I like pie. If we decide the Republican Party is defunct, we could fight it out, the TEA Party and the I Like Pie Party. Winner gets to try to repair the damage these idiots are doing.

Anyhow, that's what I'm up to, and it's almost four AM so I should try to go to bed.

Allahu Ackbar, Followed By Shots Is A Clue, Mr. President.

Allahu Ackbar, followed by a flurry of shots into unarmed servicemen and women is a pretty fair clue that it is another expression of Muslim extremism. Well, unless you are a Democrat Pol, it seems. Somehow the Commander in Chief of the United State of America's entire military cannot seem to get through his thick head that he is responsible for the lives and health of every single one, from the lowest maggot on Parris Island to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Of course, I'm just a pore dumb redneck who thinks that as difficult a task it is to run for the Presidency, I would have thought that this sucker would have thought about just what that job is. In this particular case, America was wrong. We don't have a President, we have a guy thinks that big white house in Washington, DC is a party pad and a place to sleep after a punishing round of golf.

Meanwhile we have various wild-eyed Muslims killing Americans and no one in the Democrat Party dares to whisper the word Jihad. Even the leaders of the European nations have noticed that a certain percentage of Muslims do not play well with others, although they seem to be at a loss as to what to do about it. If we had only had an Abe Lincon here and a Charles Martel over there after 9/11 history would be far different.

For all his faults, George W. Bush was our Lincoln, and after a lot of fits and starts, his dream in the Middle East is coming true. If only Europe had followed his lead. Instead of a Charles Martel we got Jack Chirac and Putin. Even though their countries were, and are, under the same assault we are, those clowns decided to profit from the business of selling the Muslims the weapons they use to kill us, and them.

Meanwhile s premier unit for fighting gun crime has been letting more than a thousand rifles and handguns "walk" into Mexico, in hopes of catching the Mexican Mr. Big. Two of those guns was found after the firefight that killed Border Patrolman Terry. He was firing rounds from a bean bag gun while they answered with rifle fire. The score? Rifles one, bean bag, nothing.

It's funny, the Border Patrol used to be a gun fighting outfit. All through Prohibition the El Paso station had a gunfight every two or three days and The BP almost always won. Of course back then they used .351 Winchester self loading rifle and twelve gauge shotguns, not bean bags. I wonder did Obama tell Patrolman Terry's family about the kinder, gentler Border Patrol of the 21st Century.

Did Obama even notice the dead Border Patrol Officer? Serious quest. Obama certainly doesn't take his job too seriously. Instead of preserving and protecting the Constitution he seems to believe it is his job to tear it down. Him and his head of "The Justice Dept."

I'm not sure that anyone really cares why I haven't been posting but if anyone does, I had a medication change that has kind of made me stupid and lethargic while adjusting to the change. Things may be getting better.

Dear Justice Breyer

I'm trying to remember the oath you said when becoming a judge. I'm pretty sure it was much the same as the one I took back in 1964 except for maybe obey the Officers, etc. Funny how I had to preserve and defend the Constitution, there didn't seem to be very many copies of that in Viet Nam. You, though, have that as your daily job.

I'm trying to figure out what language you speak, Judge. You and the rest of those nineteen bazillion government drones, all claiming to owe allegiance to the Constitution of The United States of America. I really wish the Framers would have made a little test for anyone wanting to draw the governments dime and anyone failing would be out.

You, Judge, were on the national news about the Second Amendment. You say the right of the people to keep and bear arms only counts for the Militia. Judge, a lot of folks have been discharged from the military and the modern militia, the National Guard. Judge, when someone gets out of the Service, according to you, they are no longer part of "the people" What are they, Judge? If they are no longer people, Judge, what species are they?

Here are some questions for everyone, Judge, congresscritter, drone, President. What is an enumerated power? If the Constitution, which, I remind you, you swore an oath to preserve and protect, left an action or law out, why are you mucking around in it? Under what authority? Why, sir, should any citizen care what you think about something that the Constitution gives you no right to mess about in?

I notice that you, and the other Washington types are messing about with the First Amendment, also. Take religion, for instance. Okay, the Federal Government says we don't have a mandated state religion. Great. It also says that the Federal Government should butt out of "the free exercise thereof". Now I'm just a poor dumb redneck but that clause pretty clearly says that if someone wants to say a prayer before a football game it's none of your business.

Exactly how many laws make up "no law" Judge? You bozos are trying to regulate internet speech. Aside from being cheaper than buying a printing press, how is the internet different than a pamphlet? I do not have the power to force anyone to read my blog. So, who gave you the power to regulate it? Please point those words in the Constitution out to me. Funny, my copy is from 2004 but I read Instapundit every day. and Althouse, too. You'd think a couple of Law Professors would mention a Constitutional Amendment. Maybe it happened during my stroke, I lost about a month there.

I read where the plaintiffs in the suit about Obamacare went to a conservative judge and it made a difference in the outcome. And where other suits went to liberal judges and there was a different outcome than that. Sir, that is not right. The Constitution is written in plain 18th Century English. The Federalist Papers are also right there, written in the same language. Judge, if the outcome of a trial differs because of a judge, we don't have law. I'm not sure, persactly, what we do have but it ain't law.

You Washington types keep piling rule after rule where it says "Congress shall make no law". So, Judge, how many laws are "no law"? Now I'm just a pore dumb redneck but they taught me in school that Congress shall make no law" means it's not the Federal Government's business. There's that pesky Tenth Amendment saying stuff like if the Constitution doesn't give you that power it belongs to the States or to the People. Well, Judge, I'm one of those People, no matter what you might think. I did not cede my freedom to you or your ilk.

So, when are you going to be through? How many laws make up no law?If you do not care about the well defined limits of your power and keep sticking your long federal nose into things that are clearly none of your business, when will you be satisfied?

You know, Judge, we don't need anyone to translate the law. We need judges, and congressmen and Presidents to follow the law. If a law comes out written so confusingly that a Judge needs to interpret it, it needs to go back to Congress to be re written so that a high school sophomore can understand and follow it.

Judge, just who the Hell are you to put your prejudices in instead of the clearly written Constitution? Seriously, who do you think you are?

Dear Eric:

Dear Eric, I know that this is a busy time of the year but I thought I'd drop you a line. You seem to have forgotten the oath you swore to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States. If you can, take a look at that oath, Eric. The oath was not to the Democrats, nor to Barry Obama. Your job, Eric, is to enforce the laws. Politics are another department, you might recall the big stink over Bush politicizing the Justice Department.

Eric, I do not believe you understand how thin the ice is underneath your feet, nor how deep, swift and cold the water. You are blithely ignoring rampant vote fraud running up to the election, in Houston, Arizona, Washington State, and other places, too, I'm sure. Eric, our government depends on the consent of the governed. There are not enough IRS agents to go after everyone if they, like in Greece, start massively cheating on taxes. There are not enough cops, period, if Americans become scofflaws. Yet, Eric, that is what we're facing if you keep letting people steal elections. Tell me, Eric, after Al Franken blatantly stole the election up there in Minnesota, excuse me, kept "counting newly found votes", don't want that mean ol' Al threatening me, why should any American obey any law for which his vote made fifty-one?

Eric, you are depending on the fact that we Americans are a peaceable lot, and you're right. We do have our limits, though. And we;re just about there. Eric, we do not mind getting beaten in a fair and honest election. So, Eric, how about you try this novel approach? Equal enforcement of the law. No Republican will complain if you lock up all the Republicans who actually break the election laws as long as you do the same with Democrats. Or, Eric, are you an Attorney General of Cowards for not wanting to talk about those crooks trying to steal our Republic? Eric, I'm betting you are a coward.

Come on, Eric, how about it? A fair election. Is that too much to ask?

See you in November,
Peter

Whining Establishment Republicans, PUMA Republicans

I was a Republican Precinct Chairman from the election that brought George W. Bush to the Governor's Office the first time to '1998 when I had to resign because I moved out here to Dogpatch. I like to think I know politics a little.

I remember well the '96 election where Bob Dole was chosen, mostly because it was His Turn. Pat Buchanan was running an insurgent campaign and he was very popular in my part of Texas. I wasn't too happy with Pat, mainly because his big political office was as a speechwriter, putting on paper the ideas of Ronald Reagan. He did that well. When it came to his own ideas, well I had many disagreements and we'll leave it at that.

On the runup to that '96 election there was a big county Republican meeting where we all had to do things like put a piece of paper with each candidate's name into a hat so we could then draw for ballot placement. A Precinct chair(wo)man, usually one that supported said candidate would then place the paper in the hat for drawing. No one wanted to take Dole's paper and put it in the hat, as a matter of fact there were boos when his name was mentioned.

Finally, just as I was rising, someone else did. When Dole's name was drawn, there were more boos. After the drawing for ballot order (my name didn't have to be drawn because no one dared to run against the Honorable Peter), the County chairman scolded the Buchanan Brigade types for lack of respect and reminded everyone of the Need For Party Unity. Much the same thing happened after the Primary. The Buchanan Brigade types were torqued. We got the same Party Unity speech at the first meeting. Some of the Buchanan Brigade types didn't listen and Clinton, warts and all was reelected.

Funny thing happened in this election. Some of the party chosen were cast out by those impudent voters who did not listen to the People Of High Status. Sitting Senators were cast out. Those Chosen To Assume Their Rightful Promotions were thrown to the curb. And, suddenly Party Regulars were screeching. In '96 George W. Bush was titular head of the Republican Party of Texas. Carl Rove, unless he is plumb senile, should remember '96. The Republican Party was facing a long shot against a fairly popular President. In addition, Gingrich had kind of stepped on his crank while wearing golf shoes.

So, the establishment put out a Party Regular with a good record but little chance. Dole lost. Dole lost against a fairly popular President with many, many negatives that, given a political insurgent knife fighter could have exploited. Establishment Republicans did not learn. George W. Bush kind of blindsided them, no one really expected him to win the Primary in 2000, win it he did, over another Senator who thought it was His Turn. a guy named McCain. You may have heard of him. McCain then put the next eight years of the Bush Presidency "reaching across the aisle and otherwise torpedoing Republicans. Thus it was His Turn again in '08.

I was long retired from the inner workings of the Party, I merely voted against him in the Primary and voted for him in the General. That's the party unity expected by the establishment. This is what we have yet to see in this election. We are lacking in party unity by the very people who demand it of us. I do not know Sharon Angle. I wouldn't know her if she walked up and started talking. I do not know Christine O'Donnell. Nor do I know the guy who beat Murk in Alaska. Still, every one of these was chosen by the voters, every one was attacked by the establishment Republicans before the people voted them in and every one is getting from zero to only lukewarm support of the establishment Republicans who always, ALWAYS lecture us about Party Unity.

So, establishment? How about some of that Party Unity you always lecture us about? And, when, oh when, will you figure out that selecting a Senator to run for the Presidency because it is His Turn is always a losing proposition. Establishment, if you want there to be a Republican Party in 2016 or 2018, you'd better sharpen your wits. There is an upheaval coming. Want to survive, get on board or you won't be able to ride it out.

About t Those Flamable Korans

Dear Washington:

You have been jawing about this little fifty-member Church down in Florida that wants to make a point about how if the Muslims get to build a center that includes all kinds of things, including a Mosque, they can burn some Korans. Washington, you have put yourself squarely in the middle of this, why? Washington, perhaps you might go to the records office or, perhaps a musty old encylopedia, and read the charter that exists between you and America.

Then look back on a couple of hundred years of Supreme Court decisions. Let us start with that old parcchment, especially that paragraph reading "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech...it goes on but that should be enough to get you the faint glimmering of the idea that this whole bruhaha is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. I wish I were one of those computer super geniuses who know how to make letters in words an inch tall, maybe then you peabreains would lern how to say about an issue, I am prohibited by the Constitution of the United States of America from doing anything about this mess so go talk to someone who is not so prohibited.

Just as an aside, Washington, if you would only learn to butt out of things you are not supposed to be doing, you might just have a few minutes a day to do what you are supposed to do.

Anyhow, this whole mess is far bigger than it needs to be. The building that isn't a Mosque but will contain a Muslim Worship Center, that is not at Ground Zero but is two blocks away where a building that was damaged by an engine of one of the planes that created Ground Zero (that is quite a name for it) may well be built long before anyone finishes doing much of anything at Ground Zero.

Meanwhile that little Church down in Florida seems to have backed off on it's plan on a Koran BBQ but that sick cult led by that expletive deleted Fred Phelps, the failed Democrat politician from Topeka, has picked up the challenged. And you all should know that Phelps will do almost anything it it grants him access to the news.

Anyhow, Washington, seeing as how you cannot do anything about The Incredible Flaming Koran Disaster, why don't you do something you can control, like finish the fence on the border.

Oh, and you should have kept your mouth shut about those Korans because, either way it's a danger to our troops and to US interests in general. If you, Washington, had kept your mouth shut, it would have been a small issue, unless flogged by the Democrat loving "free press" that gave us the "flushed Korans" disaster a few years back when it could harm Bush. Sure, if that bunch of "journalists" had gotten off their knees on their Obama prayer rugs long enough to file the story, certain wild eyed Muslims around the world would get all excited and burn some flags and kill off a few of each other.

Now, with all this excitement, if Phelps and his gang of thugs get together and burn some Korans, the excitable morons of the Muslim world will get together and burn more flags and kill more of each other. Now I'm trying pretty hard to figure out how people killing each other on the other side of the world bothers me. Y'know, Washington, it doesn't. I mean, okay. If big crowds of Muslims gather shouting Death To America! I have the old fashioned idea that we should drop a few cluster bombs in the middle of the crowd, eventually they might learn to shout Okay, America, We Will Be Nice To Our Neighbors And Stop Killing Folks! Or perhaps they'd just learn to shout In The Name Of Allah, Please Stop! and then we could send them all to "be nice to our neighbors and stop treating women like slaves" school. Ah, but that would fail the multiculti test, sorry.

You know, Washington, I've been saying for a few decades now, stop arming anyone who treats people like slaves. Every time we do that those guns eventually end up pointed at us.

All that aside, Washington, what is it exactly that brings you people "home" for election time where you talk like you actually can walk, chew bubble gum and watch for traffic, all at the same time, and then go back to your real home, Washington and act like the people my late mother, God rest her soul, called fatheads? Hmmm?

So, Washington, please stay out of things that do not concern you. You have enough to do fixing that idiotic Ponzi scheme you call Social Security. And the border. And our worn out military equipment. You know, Washington, that you've been using the heck out of our trucks, rifles, humvees, ships airplanes, not to mention boots. Meanwhile they're not getting replaced as they wear. You can only fix an airplane so many times, Washington. After enough time at sea a ship needs more and more time tied up for repairs, not to mention in a drydock. Meanwhile you are talking about giving Mexico another billion plus dollars so they can drill in the Gulf while we can't. Um, Washington, we don't HAVE an extra billion bucks, remember? If Mexico needs to borrow billions, let them do it like we do, borrow from the Chinese. If you can find a borrowed billion to give to Mexico, use it to repair or replace some tiny bit of the worn out gear in the military. That, Washington, is your job, not borrowing money to give to an oligarchy. Fatheads.

Washington, I turned ten in 1957. Back then a kid could leave the house in the summer, after chores of course, and be gone until suppertime. If said kid was near home at lunchtime,(s)he and all the other kids in the pack would storm the house for peaner butter 'n jelly sammiches and milk or Koolaid. Nobody worried. Often, near suppertime, phone calls were made for a kid to eat over.

Washington, those kids were safe, barring getting chased by dogs or angry cows we tried to ride. Washington, it was your changes in policy that made the whole durned country unsafe for kids. You want to know why we're in the TEA Party movement, Washington? It's because we remember when we were kids and could go outside, safely. That is the America we were born in Washington and we want our country back!

Build The Fence.

A couple of years back I put up a fence around my back yard. It was only a minor fence, able to keep our German shepherd dog in the back yard. Still, it was one day to dig the important holes and pour concrete around those posts, then another day to put up the other posts and stretch the goat wire. Viola! The fence was built. At no cost to the taxpayer. Well, the taxpayer provided my pension, which paid for the fence but, the pension would have come, anyhow.

Meanwhile, they just passed another six hundred million dollar border bill up there in Washington, on top of all the billions spent so far. and they still cannot build the fence. This bill is going to pay for some new Border Patrol agents and some drones. One would think they have enough drones in government.

I would like to take a look at the houses of all these Congresscritters. I would suspect that pretty much all of them have a durned fence. Yet they can't seem to manage a fence across our border.

Now I realize that there is somewhat more to a fence along the whole southern border (we'll get to the northern border next) is somewhat of a bigger deal than the fence that keeps Cochise Apache Princess from running out and getting shot or run over. Still, I built the fence according to my needs.

So, why can't this government, with it's trillion dollar deficits, build a big ol' fence? Every day some bunch of government types are prancing around telling us how smart they are, yet they cannot build a fence.

How about this election cycle we simply require everyone running for a federal post to declare whether or not they would commit to a fence along the border, to be completely finished by 2013. Then anti-tunneling by 2015. Then start on the northern border. This, because the border is longer, plus problems like snow, ice and mountains would take somewhat longer. Not to mention the Great Lakes. Still, almost every homeowner in the country has a fence. Seems like if we can do it, why can't the Federal Government.

Shouldn't we insist on a fence before we are willing to even discuss any kind of immigration reform? Isn't it time we put our foot down and insist that government listen to us?

Dear Washington, Again.

Dear Washington:

I am somewhat surprised at your antics the last week or so, it seems as if you have forgotten something important. You see, there are a few things you are not supposed to do.

The President is not allowed to tell American citizens to shut up. As a matter of fact you, Mr. Obama, should shut up a while and listen to the American people. I have told you before that there is more to the job you have than standing around with your chin tilted just so. You seem to have trouble believing that. I might remind you, sir, of what happened to the last guy who tried that system of governance. His name was Benito Mussolini. As I recall, things did not end so well for him.

The Speaker of the House is not allowed to call ordinary Americans Nazis. And if an ordinary American shows up at a rally with the word no written over a swastika then that American is probably not advocating marching back into the Rhineland nor starting the Panzers rolling into the Soviet Union. Instead that American Citizen is worried about you, Madame Pelosi, overstepping the constraints of your office.

The Senate Majority Leader is supposed to represent all of the citizens of Nevada, not just the ones invited to participate in "telephone town halls". Mr. Reid, in your idea, you get to choose who should speak and who may request answers. I know it's tough, sir but that's not the way our system works.

Representative Carnahan, do you really think it is a good idea to have union thugs beating and kicking an unemployed citizen for selling "don't tread on me" flags? Especially if that citizen happens to be black? That citizen may well be a staunch Democrat who just saw a way to make a few bucks. I don't know that, you don't know and those SEIU goons don't know. What I can tell you, sir, is that if he was a Democrat, he isn't one now. Representative Carnahan, having your goons beat and kick American citizens is not the way we win friends and influence people. I suggest you start talking to those lobbying firms, I doubt you will have an office in the government building in DC after January, 2011. We forgive a lot, we Americans, beating our citizenry is going too far.

The rest of you Democrats that are bleating about the folks who are happy with their present health care being astroturfed and paid by the insurance companies, I invite you to look at that video that is going around where that AARP got all snippy with, and then stormed out of that meeting in Dallas. AARP is an insurance company, dear Congress. Those folks didn't seem to have been paid enough, did they?

Or me, for instance. I am quite happy with the way my private insurance pays for what my Medicare does not. What, dear Congress, will happen to my private insurance once you make those huge cuts in Medicare to pay for the rest of your scheme? Why they will raise my premiums sky high, won't they? And then, being beggared by the Federal Government, they'll go out of business.

Congress, if you, and your little brothers in the state governments, would only do something about those tort lawyers stalking about looking for the latest jackpot, medical insurance would drop immediately. And then, if you and your state legislative jackals would simply allow patients some choices in what insurance coverage they need, medical insurance prices would drop again. My wife and I do not need coverage for birth control and pregnancy. We are old. And our kids, who need such coverage, do not need coverage for the conditions caused by the ravages of age. You legislators do not need to, nor are you supposed to, tell us what coverage we must have.

Years ago Linda Lou and I had the perfect coverage. We paid like five dollars a doctor visit and two dollars per prescription, after we hit this fairly low deductible. The next thing we knew a bunch of shyster lawyers descending on them like hyenas on a wounded wildebeest. The next thing we knew, that company had to leave Texas because they started to lose money with every patient. It's been most of twenty years since then, we haven't been as happy as we were with our Kaiser Permenente. Thanks, shysters. Thanks legislators.

We know, Congress, what is costing so much that medical care is so unaffordable. Some large percentage of medical costs is the tests for every possible thing to protect the doctor from a lawsuit. Too bad we can't sue John Edwards. So, so many more mothers are getting cut open instead of delivering naturally and there isn't even a tiny change in the number of autistic children. It isn't possible that this lawyer and legislator lied, is it? Why yes, yes it is.

The President wants those who borked the system to shut up. Actually, that's a good idea. All legislators, lawyers and such should sit down and shut up. Then they should listen to their constituents. Don't shout, don't call names. If you want to make sure that the constituent isn't an astroturfed type, demand identification.

Next, while you are shutting up, sit down with real doctors from your districts. If you are concerned with astroturfing, fine. have a staffer make a list of all the doctors in the district, cut the list up and pick names out at random for a series of dinners. You clowns waste so much of our money we'll be glad to pay for maybe ten of these dinners each. Let each Doc talk for a few minutes and present his or her recommendations. After those dinners, do some more with someone else who might know something about medical insurance. Not lawyers, insurance people. You might not like to believe this, Washington, but far more Americans trust their insurance companies more than we do you.

The President had some good advice. Trouble is, he was telling the wrong people. He, and the rest of Washington should listen. Washington, the medical insurance companies have a 72% approval rating. Congress has a 24% approval rating. Washington, it may not be a great idea to demonize a bunch of outfits three times more popular than you. Just sayin'.

Love, Peter

PS, You are also blathering, Washington, about us disrupting your meetings and that is why we, your constituents, actually your bosses, aren't welcome in your meetings. Here is a strange idea: if you will shut up long enough to listen, perhaps we would not have to shout. Understand, Washington, we will be heard, whether you like it or not. The more you refuse to listen, the more painful it will be when we are heard. Listen now. You might save your cushy jobs. Listen in November '10, on your way to find a new line of work. Or, keep cheating on these elections and face the angry mobs.

Dear Barry

Barry, I've been following your antics and I'm beginning to wonder why you ran for President. Don't get me wrong, I realize that politics requires a large dose of narcissistic tendencies but the job also requires some action.

Almost every President we have ever had, save maybe Jimmie Carter, loved this country. I'm wondering, Barry, when you might show us that you also love this country. I'm wondering if you might show us that you love freedom and a constitutional republic. You see, Barry, you are not showing us that.

Iran has God only knows how many people killed, more jailed and tortured for the crime of wanting a fair election. Your reaction?

We have Honduras wanting their President to follow their constitution and then canning him, in accordance with their law, when he refused. Your reaction? Cutting off much of our aid and canceling our military ties.

Barry, it would be nice if you, just once, even by accident, side with liberty and the rule of justice and law. You are not giving us much confidence that you even believe in the rule of justice and law. Barry, you do not want to be anywhere in the country if Americans stop believing that our votes matter.
