Ted Cruz And His Big Win

 So Linda Lou and I went to vote today. We voted for the most conservative candidate we could find which seemed to be Ted Cruz. Now I do not know exactly how much more conservative Cruz is than Dewhurst, I do know that the second Dewhurst went into the runoffs his campaign got almost as nasty as an Obama campaign. Almost. I also know that Dewhurst was just a little too chummy with the Democrats in the Texas Senate. So, I became a Cruz man.

 Those who read this blog know that my Linda Lou is semi-crippled. We took a long time to vote, primarily because she can't hardly walk, even on her walker.  Where we had our regular primary vote the Republicans and the Democrats were separated by tens of yards, today, at a different polling place, they  were each at the ends of a fairly long table. Now because we were very slow there were some eight people behind us by the time we finished. (No one complained). None of those folks signed up on the Donk end.

 I will say this, though, the Democrats were as helpful as the Republicans were, and it took some doing to get Linda Lou off her walker and the electronic voting doohicky set up for her in the chair. I would submit that small town and country Democrats are about as conservative, and more friendly, as big city Yankee Republicans.

 So, now it's some twenty minutes to one AM and Cruz is around twelve points up. This is big. I mean big. The lord gods of the RNC had chosen Dewhurst, what is this upstart doing, jumping his place in line and who are those awful TEA Party folks to go against their choice?

 The RNC will probably not learn anything from this but that's their problem. The RNC can go the way of the Whigs for all of me.

 I didn't know a whole lot about some of the other races so I just went with the endorsements of people I trust.

 Then we ran a couple more errands. We dropped a box, one of those fake Tupperware types, of peanut butter fudge to an electrician that wouldn't take money for a Westinghouse circuit breaker we needed . He was still in his shop on a Saturday when I went to the electrical supply house that was closed. So I stuck my head in and he hado ne. I tried to give him money but he wouldn't take it. It has long been my policy that no one should ever regret doing me a favor so, since he wouldn't take money...

 Then we went to Half Price Books, spent some $96.00 and change. Praise the Lord we don't get there every week.

 And a box of CCI Mini Mag .22LR hollowpoints. I have a lot of Remington and some Winchester .22s and they shoot okay but the Mini Mags give the best groups out of the Shilen Barrel of my .22.

Obama Dogs The Economy

Oh, and by the way, I'm plumb tired of all the "Romney tied his dog to the top of the car" stories. Sorry, folks, I live in Texas. I see dogs in the back of pickups all the time, they LOVE riding outside where they get the full blast of smells as they motor along. On top of the car? In halfway decent weather it'd be doggie heaven. The Romney pet had one bad time, when he got the runs. Well, dogs can actually have kind of sensitive digestion and the change in water, etc, can give a dog's innards a tough time. And so the dog throws up. Or poops. Or both.

Some years back I took Captain Fatbob, the Black Pug of Doom and Rex, the full grown German shepherd that had been abandoned when the husband decided he liked cocaine better than his house, wife, kids, dog and job from here to Phoenix to live with our oldest boy and his wife.In my PT Cruiser. With Linda Lou. With all her stuff and this was for a wedding. Linda Lou cannot go down the street for an outside BBQ without a suitcase. An overnight trip needs four suitcases for her and a spare pair of socks for me. I can understand the dog on the roof and no, it wasn't cruel, as long as the dog got exercise and food and water regularly.

And Obama eating dog as a kid?Don't care. Obama eating the whole damned economy as an adult? The mass of petty officials trying to eat our freedom. I care.

She's Our Witch!

Well it's sure now that my Linda Lou can't run for office on the Republican ticket, after all it's on record that she has a screw loose. (More on that after I vent a little. So, over ten years ago this O'Donnell woman casually mentioned that when she was a lot younger she dabbled in witchcraft. As in she dated a guy who took her to a whatever they call their meeting place and that there was alleged blood on the alter.

So, was it long enough ago that she was the one who turned Gingrich into a Newt? In the Democrat primary I think having dabbled in Wicca before turning to Christianity would be a definite downer, not because of the Wicca but because of the Christianity. Now I do not claim to be the greatest theologist around but I'm pretty sure that it is pretty normal for folks to go down some blind roads before settling into their faith. I also keep remembering that popular bumper sticker: "Christians aren't perfect, they're forgiven."

Meanwhile, alleged Republicans and alleged Christians are demanding explanations from O'Donnell. I saw the headline where Rove said she needed to explain.

Hey Rove! How about you go up to Alaska and slap the Murk a few times? What is it about the concept of "won the Primary" that you do not understand? It's past time you shut up about Delaware where we have a not so perfect woman running against a far left dweeb. Those are two races that we can win. If you idiot Party leaders" shut up; and either get with the parade or get out of the way before you get trampled. The Tea Party is a very important part of the Republican Party, Rove. It's the part of the Party that you have been making promises to for most of my life, and breaking those promises since the end of the Eisenhower Administration.

You "party leaders" are losing your chance to keep the Tea Party in the fold. If you idiots manage to chase O'Donnell out of the race at this late date all those hundreds of thousands of people who went to the Lincoln Memorial, the Gateway Arch and scores of other places in the last year+ will be sitting home in November instead of voting for those you have anointed. O'Donnell, Miller up in Alaska, those people are important to the Tea Party types, some like Linda Lou and I who have never been to one of those big hoo-raws, some like Sarah Palin. We are the ones who usually vote but can stay home when the big race is a foregone conclusion. Tell me, Rove, would you rather the O'Donnell and Miller supporters go to the Polls and pull the straight Republican ticket or stay home? That is the choice, Rove, that you and those other "Party Leaders" are forcing on the Party when, instead, you could roll up your sleeves and help. Just remember, the Tea Party candidates did not win in every Primary. Yet none of those candidates have refused to endorse the eventual winner of the Primary and none have started a write in candidacy. So, Rove, who is it that is failing the party unity test?

I think the motto for the O'Donnell Campaign should be "She turned Gingrich into a Newt! She's our witch!"

About my Linda Lou. She is going to a ortho specialist, the guy works almost exclusively with folks who need joint replacements and have bone cancers. Linda Lou, although she could use two brand new knees, does not have bone cancer, nor will they have to replace any joints. The break, though, is so close to the ankle joints that nothing anyone has done so far has worked. And now that screw is sticking through the skin. Not the pointy part, the head. It's really cute, when we change the dressing.

Patsy, our neighbor, insisted that Linda Lou go over there for a couple of days, before going to the new Doc. She says her house is easier for her and her wheelchair. She is back in the wheelchair, BTW. Whoopie! Ah, it was only February that she broke her leg, we can't expect healing so soon. Grump.

Anyhow, we were getting Linda Lou out the door and into her wheelchair when she simply toppled over. We had to call the volunteer fire department to get her up, they helped us get her next door. Now Linda Lou has gone in and out of that door
ever since she got home from the hospital. She would have this time if not for Patsy kept talking about her falling. Grrr! So, we waited around for the Volunteer Fire Dept. people, they came, lifted her up into the wheelchair and then helped us get her up the stairs and into the house. A little prayer about getting her out of the house Tuesday morning would be nice. I swear, if she falls down this time she can roll to the car.!

So, I'm over here with no wife and two dogs. Seems like I should have some bimbos swinging naked from the ceiling fans or something. No such luck. The dogs do go looking for Linda Lou every hour or two, sniffing around all her spots and then giving me a dirty look. Anybody want to buy a couple of bozo dogs? Cheap! Anyhow, the only good news is that I can watch all the shows on the Western Channel that Linda Lou doesn't like. Tell the truth, I'd rather have the naked bimbos. Or my Linda Lou. (Don't tell her that, she'd get the big head.)

Whining Establishment Republicans, PUMA Republicans

I was a Republican Precinct Chairman from the election that brought George W. Bush to the Governor's Office the first time to '1998 when I had to resign because I moved out here to Dogpatch. I like to think I know politics a little.

I remember well the '96 election where Bob Dole was chosen, mostly because it was His Turn. Pat Buchanan was running an insurgent campaign and he was very popular in my part of Texas. I wasn't too happy with Pat, mainly because his big political office was as a speechwriter, putting on paper the ideas of Ronald Reagan. He did that well. When it came to his own ideas, well I had many disagreements and we'll leave it at that.

On the runup to that '96 election there was a big county Republican meeting where we all had to do things like put a piece of paper with each candidate's name into a hat so we could then draw for ballot placement. A Precinct chair(wo)man, usually one that supported said candidate would then place the paper in the hat for drawing. No one wanted to take Dole's paper and put it in the hat, as a matter of fact there were boos when his name was mentioned.

Finally, just as I was rising, someone else did. When Dole's name was drawn, there were more boos. After the drawing for ballot order (my name didn't have to be drawn because no one dared to run against the Honorable Peter), the County chairman scolded the Buchanan Brigade types for lack of respect and reminded everyone of the Need For Party Unity. Much the same thing happened after the Primary. The Buchanan Brigade types were torqued. We got the same Party Unity speech at the first meeting. Some of the Buchanan Brigade types didn't listen and Clinton, warts and all was reelected.

Funny thing happened in this election. Some of the party chosen were cast out by those impudent voters who did not listen to the People Of High Status. Sitting Senators were cast out. Those Chosen To Assume Their Rightful Promotions were thrown to the curb. And, suddenly Party Regulars were screeching. In '96 George W. Bush was titular head of the Republican Party of Texas. Carl Rove, unless he is plumb senile, should remember '96. The Republican Party was facing a long shot against a fairly popular President.In addition, Gingrich had kind of stepped on his crank while wearing golf shoes.

So, the establishment put out a Party Regular with a good record but little chance. Dole lost. Dole lost against a fairly popular President with many, many negatives that, given a political insurgent knife fighter could have exploited. Establishment Republicans did not learn. George W. Bush kind of blindsided them, no one really expected him to win the Primary in 2000, win it he did, over another Senator who thought it was His Turn. a guy named McCain. You may have heard of him. McCain then put the next eight years of the Bush Presidency "reaching across the aisle and otherwise torpedoing Republicans. Thus it was His Turn again in '08.

I was long retired from the inner workings of the Party, I merely voted against him in the Primary and voted for him in the General. That's the party unity expected by the establishment. This is what we have yet to see in this election. We are lacking in party unity by the very people who demand it of us. I do not know Sharon Angle. I wouldn't know her if she walked up and started talking. I do not know Christine O'Donnell. Nor do I know the guy who beat Murk in Alaska. Still, every one of these was chosen by the voters, every one was attacked by the establishment Republicans before the people voted them in and every one is getting from zero to only lukewarm support of the establishment Republicans who always, ALWAYS lecture us about Party Unity.

So, establishment? How about some of that Party Unity you always lecture us about? And, when, oh when, will you figure out that selecting a Senator to run for the Presidency because it is His Turn is always a losing proposition. Establishment, if you want there to be a Republican Party in 2016 or 2018, you'd better sharpen your wits. There is an upheaval coming. Want to survive, get on board or you won't be able to ride it out.

Consent Of The Governed?

I believe we are heading for a real fight in the next few years. Our whole government and Constitution rest on the consent of the governed. In the short run, governing without the consent of a large number of the US population will lead to rapid changes in which political party has the majority on Congress and the Presidency.

Trouble is, neither Party seems to care about governing from the middle. George W. was close, if he had been satisfied to knock the Taliban out of the government of Afghanistan and had set the military loose to kill every single one of the clowns slipping over the borders in Iraq, with a stern warning to Damascus, Riyadh and Tehran that they would get some ugly results, care of the US Air Force, Navy and the redlegs of the artillery, repeated as necessary. He would have also had to remember the borders.

Bill Clinton, though hard left to his shrivelled black soul, governed more to the center once the Republicans took Congress although the Donks did everything they could to deny the voters their victory. Then, of course, the Republicans themselves did their very best to deny the voters their victory, governing not as center conservatives but as Democrat Lite. Meanwhile the Democrats do not govern as center left but as wild-eyed Bolsheviks.

So, neither Party in Washington is paying much attention to the voters, no matter the huge throngs at TEA Party events, nor minor details like that election in Missouri where the voters went against Obamacare by a 70-30 margin.

This, of course, does not mention the Me-chelle O trip to Spain with how many of her closest friends, along with enough Secret Service Agents to take down a rifle company. This is, what, her sixth vacation this summer? Democrats of course tell us all that as a private citizen Me-chelle can go anywhere she wants. Okay, fine. So, if she is a private citizen, let her pay for the Air Force jet and Secret Service. Oh, Peter, that's different. Well, no. Either she is a private citizen or a federal official. Now, Laura Bush had a staff of one. To Me-chelle's 21. This is an inbalance. If she is a private citizen, how come such a big staff? And who pays for this staff? Laura went on a number of state trips with her husband. You remember Laura's husband, the guy that gave up golf during the war. The guy the Democrats screeched about his many vacations to Crawford, Texas. Has anyone heard one word from a Democrat leader about this little jaunt? To a foreign country during a huge recession? Did they ever shut up during the Bush terms?

The Washington establishment didn't seem to notice that a Federal Judge could not find it constitutional for the Congress to demand that people buy a particular kind of health insurance. This is especially odd considering all the "rights" that Federal Judges have found, when there is no mention at all of these "rights" anywhere in the founding documents.

It would be really nice if our law schools would require a few simple reading comprehension classes to be a prerequisite to enter. This class could focus on a few simple phrases like "Congress shall make no law..." I can see it now, the pop quiz and the arguments over exactly how many laws are "no law". They could have other interesting phrases like "shall not be infringed".

Of course, if you want to see heads explode in the pre-law classes, try "The powers not delegated to to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to to the States, respectively, or to the people." Now, a person of medium-low intelligence, or better, would on reading this, know that this means that Congress and the Federal Courts, not to mention the Executive, should butt out.

This means, of course that the Feds have no right to come up with the Defense of Marriage Act. It also means that that Federal Judge out in California has no right to butt into the California initiative on gay and lesbian marriage. It seems that gay marriage is one of those emanations of a penumbra that only lawyers can find when reading the plain and simple English of the late 18th Century.

Now I have heard some pretty fair arguments on both sides of the gay marriage issue. What I haven't seen is where it's the business of the Federal Bench. What I do see is that since marriage is not mentioned in the Constitution at all, it's one of those issues left to the people or to the States, respectively.

What would work is if the States would arrest and try Federal officials for overstepping their bounds. I know that the unpleasantness of 1932-2010 told people, wrongly, that the people and the States have no power over the Feds.


It also occurs to me that if we reintroduced dueling by sword and pistol for lying about a politician, or for that matter, a voter, we would go a long way toward a restoration of government by the people. Seems simpler than pitchforks and torches.

Another idea: Any politician who breaks a promise made during his or her term is subject to a binding recall vote within sixty days. Then we wouldn't be messing with those "95% of you will not see your taxes raised one dime" business. True, election seasons would be a little more boring but, they'd be a lot more careful with those promises. And, if there was some kind of emergency where a promise had to be broken, we'd have the recall election where the Pol could explain. If there were a good enough reason, the majority of the voters would understand.

I wonder how different my late teens would have been with no "Ah weel nevah send Murken boahs to do the job that Asian boahs should do" from LBJ. Remember the election of '64? "And we ah at peace" And we weel stay at peace" Meanwhile, painting Goldwater as a warmonger. Now, y'all forgive me for being a poor lowly enlisted man during that time but from the promise of peace to the first landing at Da Nang was about five months, total. The election of '64 to the first landings at Chu Lai was six months. Now I am no great military strategist. Still, no one can ever convince me that we could have two seaborne invasions in six months, starting from plans for peace. It just takes too long to gather all that gear and all those men.

This is another thing that bothers me. Congress, since December eighth, 1941 has not actually declared war. Instead they keep "authorizing the use of military force". Then they start screeching that there hasn't been a declaration of war. Pardon me for bein' a pore dumb redneck but when the United States government sent be halfway around the world, made me wear funny clothes and carry a gun while people I'd never even met were trying their best to kill me, that was a war.

Can we please have a rule, something like the War Powers Act that requires Congress to agree to a certain wording where we either use the military to go in and kick ass and chew bubble gum or come home. Oh, and they're all out of bubble gum. Sixty day from the first boot on the ground is plenty of time to decide if what we are doing is worth the lives and health of our young men and women. If it isn't worth it, come home. If it is, then fight. Is that to much to ask of our politicians? Can we please stop with the using our young men and women to prove how tough a politician is? We have a whole slew of pols who voted for whatever it is we're doing. About a week later they started crying about how we shouldn't be there. New rules: Rule one. A binding vote on whether or not our troops should be in action. Rule two. Once they are in action, fight to win. Rule three. No crying if the enemies are hurt or killed. If you politicians don't want the bad guys killed, don't send the military. Send politicians. Rule four. Try to remember that those men and women in a combat zone are there because you sent them. Pretend that you are on their side.

The North Pole Moves South Vs Brooks And The Intellectuals

We are in the grips of a genuine Texas Blue Norther, we don't have them every day during the winter but when we do, we might as well be Yankees. Except we mostly don't have the clothes for that job, nor that winter-weight blood. The good news, if it can be called that, is that our blue northers are dry. There is a tad of frozen water left in spots from the rain and sleet we had earlier but the sky has been that bright, hard shade of blue that is almost painful to look at. This is why they're called "blue.

They are called northers because the wind comes hard out of the north. The wind the other day had gusts of fifty miles per hour. It was like Algore standing atop a tower in Resolute, The Northwest Territories of Canada, almost exactly north of here, bellowing clouds of Global Warming right at us. Since it's so far, all the moisture is gone from those clouds, leaving us with nothing but cold, cold air. Which is just as well, most folks down here have never learned about driving on snow. Heck, we start running into one another if there is a cloud in Oklahoma just so we're ready for the mayhem in the rain. Tire chains? Fat chance.

Much of the right side of the Blogosphere is up in arms over the last David Brooks column in the New York Crimes. Please note that David Brooks is their "conservative columnist". Why he is so conservative he endorsed Obama in the '08 election. Something about pants creases. Y'all must pardon me for bein' a pore dumb redneck, and maybe a homophobe, but I go days without staring at strange men's pants. Well, I do look to see if they're carrying a gun and look as if they have evil intent but, pants? Spare me.

Anyhow, Brooks is complaining that people are turning against the "educated class" Now, you must say "educated class" as if you were a genuine New York Crimes publisher. Anyhow, let me explain to Mr. Brooks why America is turning against the "educated class".

It was the "educated class" that brought us Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was the "educated class" that took over the banks and other financial institutions and did their best to run the country's entire economy into the ground.

It was the "educated class" that took over our schools and now overwhelm the few real teachers with tons of silly crap that mean today's BA graduates of an Ivy League University know less than a graduate of Jr. High knew back in 1915. In favor of the "educated class", though, our kids might not know how to write, read and cipher but by God, they have self esteem. And how to put on a condom, we can't forget that.

Our automobile companies were profitable until the old guard died out and was replaced by the "educated class". Our government worked pretty well, right up to the election of the first of the modern "educated class", Woodrow Wilson. Hey, Woody! How'd that war to end all wars work out for you, pal?That League of Nations was a real winner, too.

Along came a couple guys from the "educated class" a little later, Herbert Hoover and then FDR, they managed to turn a normal recession into The Great Depression. David, you might have heard of it, it was in all the papers.

Speaking of papers, the "educated class" have taken over those, too. I'm old. This means I remember when a guy could pick up the paper and find out what is going on in the world.Why, when I was a boy, if something like the climate "scientists" of East Anglia University got a mess of information released about how they were manipulating data and trying to force scientific journals to squelch opposing theories, I would have read about it in the New York Times! Oh, and if, in my youth, a bunch of Islamic nutter killed three thousand Americans and then admitted it, along with vowing to kill more, the papers would not have published so many of our secrets about fighting those nuts. Of course, back then the papers were not run by the "educated class". So they cared about American lives.

The "educated class" have also brought us the double whammy of around a million abortions per year and still the unwed mothers are increasing exponentially. I saw, but haven't yet clicked, a blurb from the Puppyblender, a member of the "educated class" that still maintains a modicum of good sense, about "should we spend taxpayer money on prisons or colleges"? If it weren't for all those kids growing up without fathers we would not need to worry about prisons. The "educated class" fetishizes unwed motherhood, probably because they help so much in tearing down America. Remember how the "educated class" beat up Dan Quayle for his Murphy Brown speech? Eighty percent of rapists are fatherless. Seventy percent of long term prison inmates are fatherless. How much tax money would we need to spend of prisons with 70% fewer long term inmates? The list is much longer on what unwed motherhood is doing to the country and, as bad, to those very children. Yet the "educated class" wants us all to kneel at the feet of the unwed mother while shoveling billions their way. Y'all will, I hope, pardon me for not being educated enough to not understand why we aren't discouraging unwed motherhood. It ain't like we don't know plenty about birth control.

How about this Global Warming "crisis" we're in the middle of? How many billions have we all ready spent? Meanwhile the "educated class" cannot explain why, if global warming is so bad, they are finding the remnants of vineyards under the retreating glaciers of Greenland. To a pore dumb redneck this might mean that climate change just happens, with or without our cars and air conditioners and heaters. The Scandihoovian history is not my main area of expertise but I am unaware that Errick The Red had a coal fired electric plant heating his home and a big ol' steam engine in his Long ships. Yet those were the days of the medieval warm period, which just happened to spark the Renaissance. Y'all might excuse me for thinking we need a bit more Reniassance and a lot smaller and less powerful "educated class".

Please do not think that I am against education. I'm not.What I am against is the mass of people, marching in lockstep, that believe in ideas so stupid that only an intellectual could believe them. Both George Orwell and Michael Levine are credited with versions of this, take your choice. There was a day when education was intended to teach people how to think. Today, education, especially in the liberal arts but also, more and more, in the sciences, does not teach anyone how to think. Hence the consideration of Obama as smart. Why is it that we know all about John McCain's low standing in his graduating class at the naval Academy but nothing at all of Obama's grades in either Columbia or Harvard Law? And why is a Harvard degree where one need take no courses that actually stretch the mind, more intellectual than a degree from Canoe U.? Funny, Canoe U has actual courses requiring the student to think. A Canoe U graduate goes where (s)he will be responsible for millions and then, perhaps, billions of dollars worth of equipment and the lives of men and women. The "educated class" Well, I woud not bet my son's lives on David Brooks. Perhaps that is why, during Algore's famed Viet Nam service, no one put him in charge of a squad. After all, this law school failure and divinity school dropout is part of the "educated class".

I have an idea. Let's take the faculties of the Ivy League, and ninety percent of the "educated class", put them on ships, take 'em out into the middle of the ocean and sink the ships. Make that last ten percent watch. Then maybe the rest of us could get down to business are rebuild the country. From there we might be able to straighten out the rest of the world.

Sarah And The Political Establishment

I've been thinking about why the Republican Establishment hates Sarah Palin almost as much as the Democrats do. My first thought is that once in office she brought down a couple of crooked Republicans.

Then I think that she does not need the political establishment, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans. Just look at the folks waiting in freezing weather overnight to get a book signed when it's really easy to get the book from Amazon with no freezing and no lines.

I don't recall anyone sitting outside bookstores all night in freezing weather for Obama's books nor for Hilary!. This scares the foo out of establishment politicians of all stripes. To not need the handlers! To not care what the Davis Frums think? To be able to connect with real people without a speechwriter? Blasphemy!

No, establishment pols love Obama, he cannot create a coherent sentence without his teleprompter. This means plenty of jobs for the establishment pols. This, by the way, is why the establishment pols are pushing this two thousand plus page "health care" bill through Congress, even knowing that for many it is electoral suicide. Why should they care about elections with all of these lovely political jobs in those pages? There are so many boards and panels in these bills that every single Congresscritter could be voted out and the Obama gang could appoint each of them to lead one. The trouble is, those Congresscritters have no reason at all to believe the Obama gang won't throw them under that same bus everyone else has been thrown under.

That bus must have that jacked up suspension and the giant tires from the monster truck rallies. I wonder what the carbon footprint is?

Speaking of Carbon footprints, I wonder what the carbon footprint is of all those government creeps and NGO waterheads in Copenhagen is? Let's see here, strong evidence of fudged data and a whole slew of people that want us little guys to starve while freezing in the dark while they jet around from feast to feast. Um, don't you think they would have disarmed us first before trying this nonsense?

Can We Make It Two Thousand Pages?

So Pelosi and company have put out their 1990 page "health care" bill. Can Pelosi, Reid and Biden combined win a thinking contest with a rutabaga? It does not seem so.

Any dispassionate observer can look this bill over and see that it has nothing to do with "making healthcare affordable" This bill is, instead, all about power. This bunch simply thinks that Americans will fall into line and do what we're told when some unelected board of pencil necked geeks and ugly women in comfortable shoes can say "no, you voted wrong and now your grandson will not be treated for his expensive to treat condition".

Who will staff these boards after the first half dozen or so have been messily killed? It seems that this crowd of meatheads have lost touch with who lives in America. Here is the first clue, Nancy. We are the ones that didn't stay in Europe where we were all but slaves to an inept nobility.

We got here and found the folks that wouldn't, for whatever reason, stay in Siberia. It was a pretty good tussle for a couple-three hundred years but we finally ended up with the most fertile swath of the whole North American continent. It wasn't easy, there are untold thousands of unmarked graves spread all over this country. Why the Oregon Trail alone has an average of one grave every eighty yards from Independence MO to the Willamette Valley. And that was only one trail.

Nor are those of us who emigrated from Europe to come here unique. We have our Mexican Americans, most of whom cut ties with the old country, just the way we "Anglos" did. Although many, perhaps most, have kept in touch with their relatives better than most of us did still, they made a pretty big jump.

The Chinese, Japanese and Korean Americans took an even bigger leap, not to mention those who came from the Vietnamese Boat People.

Do those chowderhead Democrats, and their accomplices in the Washington Republicans really think the grandchildren of those who settled the west will put up with this nonsense?

Speaking of Washington Republicans, have you peabrained idiots learned anything? This Skuzzy person in NY-23 endorsed the Democrat after the conservatives in the District revolted and supported Hoffman. You Washington Republicans must have brains the size of walnuts. Y'all supported Ol' Arlen, to the tune of how many millions? You supported ol' Jumpin' Jim to the tune of how many millions? You supported this Skuzzy woman to the tune of most of a million, in a rural district, no less. And yet you keep crying that we must reach out to the moderates! And you wonder why your grassroots donations are drying up. Maybe you should stop sending boxcar loads of money to Democrats with an "R" behind their names, it ain't like they do any good and you can't even depend on them in things like votes for Speaker.

Just how many more elections to you clowns have to lose before you learn that Democrat-lite is not a winning strategy? Normally I wouldn't care but the clowns you idiots have allowed to "run" the country are running her off a cliff.

John, I've supported you since your days as Texas Attorney General. That is very close to changing. I do not know why you establishment Republicans don't like Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania but it's time you got over it. We saw what the support of Specter got us. Remember Specter, the guy the whole Party, except for the voters just loved back in '04? Remember how loyal he's been? What a strong Republican vote?

John, I know that you think the most important thing in the world is that you stay in the Senate. This is incorrect. The nation is important. Fighting the leftist trend in the nations politics is important. It would even be nice to fight the leftist trend in the Republican Party. If you are unwilling to do these things explain why you should be in the Senate.

Toomey came close to beating Specter with the whole might of the Party against him. How about, just once, you Washington scumbag peabrains try acting like Republicans, you know, people willing to fight for conservatism.

Cornyn, this is your last chance with me. You are supposed to help elect Republicans to the Senate. Toomey is a strong Republican. Quit messing around trying to find another Democrat lite to run against Specter. The left wing on the Democrats hate Specter over card check. He will probably be in a bruising nomination fight.
